# We built the compliance tool we wished we had

In 2019, Maciej took his previous software company through ISO 27001. It was slow, expensive, and mostly spreadsheets. The part that stung was not the work, it was never knowing whether we were close. AuditBadger is what came out of that: an ordered path through SOC 2 and ISO 27001 for teams who do not have a compliance department and are not about to hire one.

## Compliance without the theater

AuditBadger turns SOC 2 and ISO 27001 into a to-do list you can actually own. AI prepares first drafts of policies, control descriptions and evidence suggestions. Your team reviews and approves every one of them, and every change lands in the audit trail. Over 120 automated checks across 12 integrations collect the evidence that can be collected automatically. The rest stays visible instead of hiding in someone's inbox.

Those scheduled checks run once a month, plus on demand whenever you press the button. Some tools call that continuous monitoring. We call it what it is, because your auditor is going to ask either way. If you need them more often, that is a conversation, not a setting.

One flat price: $250 per month, unlimited users, both frameworks in the same workspace. Your 40th employee costs the same as your 4th, which is nothing extra. Onboarding is run by the founding team, because there are not many of us.

02 / Why believe us 

## We ran our own examination on our own tool

AuditBadger has completed a SOC 2® Type II examination, and we got there the same way our customers do: by running our own controls, evidence, policies and risks inside AuditBadger. No external consultants. Every gap the product failed to surface for us became a product change, which is a slow but honest way to build a roadmap.

The audit decision itself always belongs to an independent auditor or CPA firm. No software can grant it, ours included. What software can do is make sure you are not discovering problems in the room with the auditor.

## Built by people who have lived the audit path.

AuditBadger is shaped by founders and operators who have prepared real security programs, worked with auditors, and still keep the audit decision independent.

We went through SOC 2 ourselves. It was brutal.

So we rebuilt the product around the compliance work we were actually living through. Running on AuditBadger, we prepared for our own SOC 2® Type I examination in under two weeks, and we have since completed our SOC 2® Type II examination with zero external consultants. We still run that program on AuditBadger today. Most of what's in it exists because a customer asked for it, or because we needed it ourselves.
